(5 ml) vanilla . 2/3 cup(170 ml) milk . Preheat oven to 350°f. Lightly oil or grease a 9 inch round cake pan or an 8x8 inch square pan. In a large bowl,beat butter(or margarine)until fluffy. Add mix ,eggs, vanilla and beat. Add milk and stir to moisten. Spoon into pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes then remove from pan. You may substitute milk with either rice or soy milk, water or even fruit juice . For a delicious maple/nut cake,replace the vanilla with 0.25 tsp(2 ml)maple flavor .
